Kellogg has an exciting opportunity in Augusta, Georgia for a Senior Financial Analyst. The primary function of this position will be the following:

Responsible for complex financial analyses and reports for management for plant. Responsible for Cost Savings, Tracking, Forecasting, Costing, Reporting, or other reports of financial results. May be responsible for coaching of less-experienced Financial Analysts.

General Job Functions: 
Performs economic/financial research and analyses as assigned for use in development of business strategies and in subsequent analyses of results. Handles/leads completion of ad-hoc questions/ issues/projects as they arise. 

Job Responsibilities include preparing financial analysis, estimates and reports for management. Specific accountabilities may include: 
1) Completing financial plans & reports for departments, brands, equities, business units to provide visibility to prospective financial performance and facilitate the delivery of financial results to management expectations. 
2) Support business units and manufacturing locations with monthly close and budget processes 
3) Provide support and training of financial applications and governance of financial master data within applications.

Technical Competencies for this position include:

1) Month end close & Reporting Activites – Journal entries, CPR Creation, and Account Reconciliations, costing
2) Forcasting and Budgeting Activities – Factory spending forecasts, Absorption variance forecasts, Capital expenses, Depreciation and Utilities
3) Costing/Internal Reporting Activities –Daily PE validation and reporting, DOR: Finance/Automated data, Inventory management/cycle counts, Refresh plant metrics report, Product setup/material set up.
4) Financial Analysis – participates in development of budgets and monitors performance against them
5) Accounting, Reporting & Business Systems – delivers accurate reporting and possesses understanding of systems, policies, rules and regulations for function.


Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Finance/Business-Related field + 1 or more years of related work experience + CPA/CMA Certification, or
Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance/Business-Related field + 5 or more years of related work experience + CPA/CMA Certification
Must have strong PC skills with an emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Proficient knowledge of ERP and other financial planning systems is required, with SAP experience preferred.

Must have strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills and be detail-oriented.

Kellogg Company is seeking an objective business partner for Global Sales Lead, along with his/her direct reports. This person will partner with the sales team providing visibility to financial and business performance and assist each month with updating YTG forecasts. Project Gross Sales, Trade Spending and the resulting Net Sales. Work with the team to drive the delivery of quarterly financial targets by category. Analyze the effectiveness of Trade Investment and influence the Sales team on how best to invest trade dollars to generate incremental GSV. Active and influential member of Sales Leadership Generate/provides complex financial and business insights to guide Sales Leadership team to deliver their business targets and drive strategic direction. Manage overhead cost centers for Sales Domestic and International Admin, ensuring that all risks and opportunities vs. Budget are communicated in a timely manner. Prepares monthly reports, managing budget adjustments, tracking cash, performing Section 404 Testing and tracking promotions. Effectively aligns, communicates and influences across functions and business units (VPs, Directors, and less senior roles). Responsible for the supervision and professional development of the Customer Finance team. Decisions are guided by functional strategies and priorities. Ensures execution/completion of projects, key due dates, identification of opportunities and risks, and financial metrics.


Prepares and evaluates financial models to be used in economic/financial research and analyses for use in the development of business strategies and in subsequent analyses of results. Ensures project financials are in conformance with GAAP and company accounting policy. Provides subject matter expertise and consultation with other business units and functions to ensure consistency of processes and sharing of best practices.

Supports monthly fiscal business reporting, business analysis, and process management, providing financial insight for Region Sales Team and assisting in identifying trends and resolving issues causing deductions. Provides visibility to trade investments to ensure business invests according to planned levels.


Works in office environment with frequent PC use. Must have the ability to manage conflicting/changing priorities with tight deadlines. Extended working hours is regularly required, which may include weekends. Moderate business travel up to 30% may be required.
